About Me

I'm Lindsay Wall, a UI/UX designer with an extensive skill set that spans from video game design to experience design in auto finance. My programming expertise consists of a wide range of languages, including C#, HTML, SQL and more, giving me the technical capabilities to bring my creative ideas to life. My academic journey began at Arizona State University, where I pursued a development-focused education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Informatics while completing a Computer Gaming Certificate. Through this experience, I built a strong technical foundation and gained hands-on experience developing digital solutions. As my interests evolved, I became increasingly drawn to the people behind the technology and the impact thoughtful design can have on their experiences. Wanting to expand my skillset to focus on the user, I continued my education by enrolling in a graduate program, where I earned a Master's Degree in User Experience. My proficiency extends beyond coding as I thrive in collaborative environments, and my interpersonal and consultative skills enable me to lead and work effectively within diverse teams.

My portfolio reflects my versatile creative abilities, from creating immersive VR/AR experiences to performing usability research to create effective and meaningful experiences for users. I have a track record of ensuring the quality of my designs because I don't shy away from challenges and I'm dedicated to creating memorable experiences that prioritize user satisfaction. My journey is a testament to my unwavering commitment to the design world, and I take pride in my ability to create captivating and user-focused experiences that leave a lasting impact.

Here are some of the things I love.

Gaming

I am an avid gamer and have been my entire life. It doesn't matter if it's console, PC, or handheld. Some of my all time favorites are:

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (The art? I mean c'mon)
Before Your Eyes (Sometimes you need a good cry)
Baldur's Gate 3 (Talk about an incredible story and experience)

One of my biggest goals in life is to travel and see as much of the world as I'm able. So far, I've travelled to 6 European countries, Japan, Mexico, and several U.S. states. Out of everywhere I visited, my top three places are Japan, U.K., and Edinburgh. There is so much to see and experience out there. I hope to expand on my travels more!

Crafts

In my recent years, I've discovered a passion for building nooks. If you aren't aware of what those are, they are tiny woodwork projects where you can make a model of a place or scene. These can range from book nooks (Imagine peering into a scene of a book) all the way to moving objects with sound. These nooks take a lot of time to build and require a lot of precision! I enjoy puzzles and building so this is one of my favorite pastimes.

Another thing about me is that I absolutely love to get lost in a good book. There's nothing like losing yourself into a written world and disconnecting from reality for a bit. I read many types of reading materials from novels to manhwa (although my typical genre doesn't stray too far from fantasy). I'm always looking for new recommendations to add to my TBR.

Water Activities

In my youth, my mom used to call me a fish because I loved the water so much. As I've grown older, I've surfed the beaches in California, learned how to paddleboard down the Salt River in Arizona, and kayaked around Catalina Islands. The only one I keep consistent with, is paddleboarding down the Salt River every Saturday. It is such a refreshing and relaxing way to start the weekend (I do wake up awfully early for it). Even in the 110 degree heat, the river current keeps you nice and cool.

I absolutely love all animals, but there is one that is in my heart, and it's my pup Zelda. When I was 20, I found her at a shelter in Casa Grande in the middle of my travels. When I first picked her up, she relaxed in my arms and lay her head against my chest. She is the first dog I've raised from puppy to adult and we are so bonded together. She makes my day brighter with her goofy happiness and I enjoy showering her with love.
